• Dr. Sandeep Gupta is a trained urologist & kidney transplant surgeon who has been meritorious throughout his schooling.
• He joined SMS Medical College in 1994 through All India PMT (Cleared in first attempt with an all India rank of 231).
• After passing MBBS in flying colors he pursued further studies & training in general surgery at the reputed Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi & cleared MS (General Surgery) in 2004 in first attempt.
• He also passed DNB in general surgery in 2004. His passion for urology & kidney transplantation led him to the world renowned center & Mecca of Urology, Institute of kidney Diseases (IKD) & Research centre, Ahmedabad & where he completed DNB in Urology & Kidney Transplantation in 2008.
• He was one of the 9 successful candidates out of 77 all over india in DNB final exam. There after to further hone & fine tune his skills he continued as Asstt professor at IKDRC, ahmedabad till aug 2010.

Professional Experience :

His last assignment was with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad (NCR) as consultant Urology & renal transplant surgeon till Nov 2011.

Presently he is working as Senior Consultant Urology & Kidney transplant surgeon at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur since Dec 2011.

He is an accomplished & award winning Urologist, andrologist & Kidney transplant surgeon. He has a rich experience of thousands of basic & advancedendourological surgeries for stones, prostate, strictures (URS, PCNL, TURP, TURBT, OIU), all kinds of urethroplasties for urethral strictures, female urology (stress incontinence surgeries, mesh repair of prolapse, colpopexy, hysteropexyetc), paediatric urological surgeries ( hypospadias, undescended testis, pyeloplasty, posterior urethral valve, vesicouretericreflux (VUR), wilm's tumor etc) & urological cancer surgeries (Kidney, prostate, urinary bladder cancers).

His special interests include advanced laparoscopic urological surgeries which are not performed routinely in rajasthan as yet including difficult nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, adrenalectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteric reimplantation, laparoscopic VVF repair, pediatric laparoscopic surgeries & laparoscopic surgeries for urological cancers like radical cystectomy, radical prostatectomy & partial nephrectomy also. He is a very trusted name with doctors all over the rajasthan when it comes to performing difficult, high risk or advanced surgeries.

KIDNEY TRANSPLANT EXPERIENCE :

Dr. Sandeep Gupta has been trained at IKDRC which boasts of the largest live related Renal transplant programme in India as well as one of the most successful cadaver organ transplant programme & intercity cadaver organ transplant programme.

He has an experience of more than 500 kidney transplantation with laparoscopic harvesting of donor kidneys i.e laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. Hewas part of the team that performed 13 transplants (12 renal & 1 liver) in one day , a world record for most number of transplants in one day on the occasion of world kidney day on 11th march 2010.

His contribution in this was performing three renal transplants, one open Donor neprectomy& one laparoscopic donor nephrectomy independently.

I was the chairperson of Urology Prize Paper session at Transplant Update 2010 at IKDRC Ahmedabad. He has been instrumental in starting Kidney Transplant Programme at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Jaipur & was the leader of Team & Chief Transplant Surgeon who performed first Kidney Transplant here on 28th nov 2013.

Since then he is regularly performing kidney transplants here independently without any surgical complication or in hospital death so far. He is the only transplant surgeon in whole rajasthan whois harvesting donor kidney by Retroperitoneoscopic Laparoscopic approach. He has also been formally trained in deceased (cadaver) organ harvesting & kidney Transplantation.

Academic Achievments :

Dr. Sandeep Gupta is an avid reader & despite his extremely busy schedule he always squeezes some time for continuous reading.

He leaves no stone unturned in updating his knowledge with recent medical developments & regularly attends national & international level conferences & workshops.

He also shares his clinical experience with peers & colleagues by conducting regular teaching programmesaway from Jaipur.
